  • You are an Eagle Scout and 2024 high school senior.
  • You live anywhere in Nebraska or Pottawattamie, Mills, or Harrison counties in Iowa.
  • You will attend either UNO or MCC full-time starting in the fall of 2024.

YES. You must graduate in the high school class of 2024.

We will be announcing next year’s plan after the initial launch this year. Next year’s announcement will be coming through your local Boy Scouts of America Council.

YES. You must enroll as a full-time student as defined by your college (MCC or UNO).

$3,000/year for two years at MCC (up to $6,000 total) or four years at UNO (up to $12,000 total).

YES. For example, if you successfully attend MCC for year one, you may transfer to UNO for years 2, 3, and 4 and earn up to a total of $12,000 in scholarship funds.

You must maintain full-time status and remain in good academic standing as defined by UNO and/or MCC.

The money will be deposited in your student account at UNO or MCC. This deposit will take place in August or September of 2024. Check with your on-campus advisor for more details.

The NE Eagle Scout Scholarship may be used for any expenses associated with your total cost of attendance, not just tuition and fees (e.g., housing, food, transportation, books, supplies).

Funds will be applied as “last dollars in” towards your total financial aid package. The NE Eagle Scout Scholarship will not displace any other form of aid or scholarships. Any excess scholarship funds may be refunded directly to you for cost of attendance expenses that could exceed your invoice from UNO or MCC.
